Welcome back to Forever Young and Married Blog. Today I want to show you guy how to turn my old Bath and Body Works candle containers into great storage holders the easy way.
For this project you will need:
- Candles from Bath and Body Works or even Wal-Mart Candles
- E6000 Clear Glue.. Please don’t get white like I once did.
Click link below to see how to clean the jars the easy way.
Ok so once the jars are clean out then it is time for the fun stuff. Wipe the lids off the rubbing alcohol to clean the surface of the glass really good. Then spray a light coat of the primer onto them. Let that dry for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then I sprayed the tops with paint. Please do this project outside.
While I waited on the tops to dry I cut out some cute labels to put on each container. I have a silhouette machine that I do all my designs on. Check out my etsy page for the different design I offer for glasses and can do custom things too. You can also use letter stickers or stickers to achieve the look you desire.
Then I use a little E6000 to attach these beautiful knobs to the top. I let my tops dry for about 2 to 3 hours before I tried to attach the knobs. It is easier to attach the knobs to a flat surface, so make sure the top is the smooth one with no design on it. If the top does have a design on it you can still achieve this look.
I let theses Knobs sit over night before I messed with them. Everything turned out perfectly. You can use the candle jars for almost anything. They can hold your make up brushing, candy containers and etc.
Leave a comment and let me know what you are using your old candle jars for.
